The French Financial Markets Authority has set 30 June 2026 as the effective date for the deregistration of AUTOMATA France SAS as a digital asset service provider, using a mechanism in France's Monetary and Financial Code that allows a delayed effective date to support an orderly wind-down. The measure is intended to allow the firm's activities to be liquidated in an organized way rather than ending immediately. Pending that effective date, AUTOMATA France SAS was required to restrict its activity to services and transactions strictly necessary to settle its position and to return to clients control of the means of access to their digital assets in line with the arrangements previously indicated by those clients. The AMF said it remains in regular contact with the firm's teams to ensure that activities cease effectively while preserving client interests. From 30 June 2026, the firm must inform the public of its deregistration, update its website to remove any reference to its registration with the AMF, and complete its orderly cessation plan.
