The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) released its December 2025 financial statistics for non-bank financial institutions, covering other financial intermediaries, insurance companies and pension funds. Other financial intermediaries’ assets totalled EUR 747.04 million at end-December, up EUR 3.10 million or 0.42% month on month, while gross loans rose to EUR 551.88 million, an increase of EUR 9.54 million. Household lending accounted for 58.72% of other financial intermediaries’ total loans and new lending in December amounted to EUR 63.86 million. Insurance companies reported assets of EUR 357.69 million, broadly unchanged from the previous month, with assets held mainly as balances with commercial banks (49.59%), securities and other assets (25.83%) and reinsurance with participation (13.83%). Pension fund assets reached EUR 3.77 billion, with equities and equity securities representing 80.11% of the sector’s total assets.
