The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated by videoconference in a roundtable organised by Cape Verde's General Audit of the Securities Market (AGMVM) focused on opportunities and challenges in the financial intermediation market, facilitating the exchange of regulatory experience and good practices among Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions. The session brought together representatives from the Cape Verde Stock Exchange, Portugal's Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the AGMVM and the Angola Capital Markets Commission. Executive Administrator Nádia Pinto presented Angola’s experience on the role of securities market intermediaries and banking financial institutions, highlighting key milestones in the sector’s development, ongoing challenges and growth prospects, including progress in regulation, digitalisation and diversification alongside constraints such as financial literacy, confidence in the system and the regularisation of certain operational practices.
