The Egmont Group is accepting proposals from subject matter experts to develop an online course on the role of financial intelligence units (FIUs) in asset recovery. The course will form part of the Egmont Centre of FIU Excellence and Leadership Certification Program and provide foundational, globally applicable knowledge for new and experienced staff across more than 180 FIUs. The course must explain the asset recovery process, FIU powers and information sources, and domestic and international cooperation. Content will cover identifying and tracing criminal assets, securing assets through transaction suspensions or referrals where legally available, differences in FIU mandates across jurisdictions, and recent changes to Financial Action Task Force Recommendation 4. The selected expert must produce materials, assessments and appropriate visual or audiovisual content in line with mandatory development and quality standards, with a final draft due within 25 working days after initial feedback and approval of the content outline. Proposals are due by Nov. 6, 2026, and all resulting materials will belong to the Egmont Group.
