The Central Bank of Barbados announced that Deputy Governor Michelle Doyle is participating in the Joint International Monetary Fund and Banco Central del Ecuador Regional Central Bank Governance Forum in Quito, Ecuador, taking place from 2 to 4 April 2025, focused on executive management structures and central bank governance across the Western Hemisphere. Doyle is scheduled to be a featured panellist in the session “Executive Management in Central Banks: Structures and Challenges,” alongside Wouter Bossu (Deputy Division Chief, International Monetary Fund), Guillermo Avellán (General Manager, Banco Central del Ecuador) and Róger Madrigal López (Governor, Central Bank of Costa Rica). Discussions are set to cover regional models of executive management, governance challenges where responsibilities are split across executive boards, board chairs, governors and general managers, and approaches to promote unified executive management while reducing the risk of organisational fracture.
