Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) has published its schedule for Global Money Week (GMW) Brazil 2025, running from 17 to 23 March, with free talks, workshops, live streams and debates delivered online, in-person and in hybrid formats under the theme “Think before you follow, your financial future will thank you for reflecting”. The campaign launch is set to be marked by a bell-ringing event at B3 on 17 March at 09:00. CVM’s programme includes two webinars to be streamed on the CVM Educacional YouTube channel: “Behaviour and Money: How are our choices influenced?” on 18 March at 15:00, and “Between Risk and Opportunity: The Impact of Pyramids, Bets and Investments” on 19 March at 10:00, featuring CVM’s Financial Education and Inclusion staff alongside academic speakers. Paulo Portinho, Head of Financial Education and Inclusion, will also participate in live sessions on the risks of memecoin offers (18 March, 14:00–15:00) and on engaging young people in financial education (20 March, 11:00–12:00), with the overall programme framed around how consumers interact with online financial services, including the role of “finfluencers” and artificial intelligence in assessing information reliability.
