The fee schedule is tiered by asset size, ranging from LKR 4.0 million for banks with total assets below LKR 25bn to LKR 56.5 million for banks above LKR 5,000bn, with intermediate bands of LKR 8.0 million (LKR 25bn to 75bn), LKR 15.5 million (above LKR 75bn to 125bn), LKR 22.5 million (above LKR 125bn to 200bn), LKR 30.5 million (above LKR 200bn to 500bn), LKR 34.5 million (above LKR 500bn to 1,000bn), LKR 43.0 million (above LKR 1,000bn to 2,000bn), LKR 46.0 million (above LKR 2,000bn to 3,000bn), LKR 49.5 million (above LKR 3,000bn to 4,000bn) and LKR 53.0 million (above LKR 4,000bn to 5,000bn).

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has mandated that all licensed commercial and specialised banks pay an annual licence fee for 2026, based on total assets as of end-2025. The fee structure is tiered, starting at LKR 4.0 million for banks with assets below LKR 25 billion, and reaching LKR 56.5 million for those with assets exceeding LKR 5,000 billion.
