The National Treasury, South Africa Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the National Consumer Financial Education Committee have invited organisations and individuals to participate in Money Smart Week South Africa 2026, running from 24 to 30 August 2026 under the theme “Money Smart: The Power of Possible”. The campaign is positioned as a national collaborative platform to promote financial literacy and consumer awareness. Participation is open across the financial education ecosystem, including academic institutions, employers, government departments, regulators, financial service providers, non-profit organisations, media organisations, individuals and influencers. Participants are encouraged to plan and host their own financial education activities during the week, including workshops and presentations, community activations and exhibitions, webinars and digital learning content, and broadcast and social media campaigns. An information session is scheduled for 17 April 2026 to share key information on the 2026 campaign and insights from the Money Smart Week South Africa 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation Report, with further details to be communicated.

Participation is open to stakeholders across the financial education ecosystem, who are encouraged to host activities such as workshops, community events, webinars and media campaigns.
