Mexico’s National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) released capital adequacy data for the commercial banking sector as of end-November 2024, reporting the sector’s capitalisation level and its main components. The Capitalisation Index (ICAP), defined as Net Capital divided by Total Risk-Weighted Assets, stood at 19.43%. The Basic Capital Ratio (CCB) was 17.59% and the Core Capital Ratio (CCF) was 16.09%.
