The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority has issued a decision revoking the license of the Markaz Fixed Income Fund, which is managed by Kuwait Financial Centre Company, and placing the fund into liquidation. Kuwait Financial Centre Company was appointed as liquidator, with the decision also providing that the fund will be removed from the authority's register of funds once the liquidation process is completed. The move follows a June 30, 2026 resolution by the fund's unit holders approving the appointment of Kuwait Financial Centre Company as liquidator. The liquidator cannot begin its work until the decision is formally published. The fund manager remains responsible for meeting all legal obligations under Law No. 7 of 2010 and its executive regulations for the period before the decision takes effect. The decision takes effect from the date of issuance and is to be published in the Official Gazette. Deregistration from the funds register will follow after liquidation is completed.
