The Angola Ministry of Finance reported on the 66th meeting held in Luanda and organized by the Angola Debt and Securities Exchange, or BODIVA, which brought together representatives from several Southern African stock exchanges. The meeting focused on strengthening institutions, harmonizing market practices and deepening regional integration across securities markets. Discussions covered strategic issues for the sustainable development of the regional capital market, including the creation and diversification of financial products suited to local economic conditions, stronger regulatory frameworks to support a safer and more attractive investment environment, and technical and institutional capacity building for exchange professionals and regulatory authorities. Participants also reviewed implementation of CoSSE's strategic plan for the current year, including progress made and remaining challenges. The ministry said hosting the meeting in Angola marked a milestone for BODIVA and reflected recognition of its active role in regional financial market development and integration.
