The Bank of Italy announced its planned participation in the tenth Salone dei Pagamenti in Milan, running from 29 to 31 October 2025, including contributions across multiple conference sessions and a presence in the exhibition area. Deputy Governor Chiara Scotti is scheduled to be interviewed during the opening plenary session. Across the three days, Bank of Italy speakers will cover payment security and cyber fraud prevention, updates on the digital euro project, the Pontes and Appia initiatives aimed at developing new distributed ledger technology based infrastructures, and innovation in instant payments and cross-border transactions. The programme also includes discussion of digitalisation of public administrations, alongside talent development and skills enhancement to support innovation within organisations. The Bank will operate two exhibition stalls, one focused on the digital euro, payments and banknotes, and a “Talent Terrace” focused on career opportunities, sought-after professional profiles and skills, and the Bank’s training and development activities.
