The Monetary Authority of Singapore announced the appointment of Ong Pang Thye to its Board of Directors for a three-year term from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2029, alongside the reappointment of four existing directors. The reappointments cover Chairman Gan Kim Yong, Managing Director Chia Der Jiun, Attorney-General Lucien Wong and Chaly Mah. Gan will serve a further three-year term as chairman from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2029. Chia was reappointed as MAS managing director and board member for two years to 31 May 2028, Lucien Wong for three years to 31 May 2029, and Chaly Mah for a final one-year term to 31 May 2027. Mah will also continue as chairman of the Audit Committee for the same period. Ong currently serves as vice chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, sits on the boards of Temasek, Singapore Power Limited and MOH Holdings, and was formerly managing partner at KPMG Singapore.

Chairman Gan Kim Yong was reappointed for a further three-year term, Managing Director Chia Der Jiun for two years, Attorney-General Lucien Wong for three years, and Chaly Mah for a final one-year term, during which Mah will remain chairman of the Audit Committee.
