The Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam has updated its Alert List, adding eight companies and individuals it says are not licensed, authorised or regulated by the central bank and warning the public against being misled into believing the listed parties are supervised. The new additions are Netherex Pro; Nuur Fa’atimah; Syaqyrah AS; @garudadjava; Pika Cho; Pinjaman Wang Cepat Brunei (also operating as E-Loan Brunei and Easy Loan Brunei Darussalam); Triple Sss Loan Settelment; and @beautyfi.bn. The central bank noted that inclusion is without prejudice to any further assessment of the parties’ activities, and reiterated that services including money remittance, money changing, money lending and pawn broking must be licensed by the central bank, with consumers lacking the protection of its regulatory framework when dealing with unlicensed providers.
