The Central Bank of Costa Rica has published a fully redesigned version of its Economic Indicators website, expanding the tools available to access, analyse and download the bank’s official statistical data. The upgraded platform provides public access to more than 9,000 statistical series and enables users to create customised charts combining up to five variables of the same periodicity, downloadable as an image or PDF, alongside dataset downloads in multiple formats. It also introduces user registration to save favourite indicators and configure preferences, adds data-integration tools intended to support application development, and includes a real-time “most consulted” section plus topic-based navigation with options to download, chart, share or bookmark each dataset. The site is designed to meet accessibility guidelines under Law 7.600. During a transition period, the new website will operate in parallel with the previous version, and a mobile app is planned to provide access to the indicators from smart devices.
