The National Bank of Moldova met a National Bank of Romania delegation to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, strengthening international dialogue and supporting Moldova’s integration into European and global financial structures. The talks continued an established partnership under the central banks’ cooperation agreement, with Romania providing technical expertise for Moldova’s alignment with European financial standards. The central banks focused on technical assistance, financial education and exchanges of good practices, as well as plans to hold joint events annually. National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu cited Moldova’s accession to the Single Euro Payments Area as a practical result of European integration and identified the second annual international conference in Chisinau and youth education programs such as the Modern Finance School as potential joint projects.
