Paraguay’s Social Security Council has opened Stage III of the competition to appoint the Superintendent of Retirement and Pensions, beginning interviews on candidates’ aptitudes and competencies. The process moved forward after the list of candidates admitted at Stage II, the curricular evaluation stage, drew no objections or complaints on the institutional portals of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and the Central Bank of Paraguay. The council, meeting in plenary session, will interview the seven remaining candidates. Once those interviews are completed, the process will move to its final stage, in which a shortlist of three candidates will be formed in merit order and sent to the Executive Branch for appointment.
