The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will convene its annual Economic Policy Symposium from Aug. 27-29 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, focusing on financial innovation and its implications for payments and policy. International central bankers, Federal Reserve officials, policymakers and academics will examine how developments including digital payment systems, instant payments, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins could affect currency, banking, monetary policy implementation and global financial integration. The full agenda will be released Aug. 27. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s remarks will be streamed Aug. 28, while papers and other materials will be published as they are presented.
