The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago has launched “Club FINLIT”, a pilot financial literacy club for secondary schools delivered through its National Financial Literacy Programme as part of Global Money Week 2026. The pilot was launched with participation from seven secondary schools and is aimed at students aged 13 to 15. Planned activities over the 12-month pilot include monthly club meetings, financial literacy competitions, entrepreneurship sessions and access to resources, with two students identified to lead in each participating school. The launch also brought together institutional partners supporting the National Financial Education Committee, including the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission, the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange and the Deposit Insurance Corporation.
