Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly appointed Tarek Seif as deputy chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority for a one-year term. The decision also renewed Mohamed El-Sayyad’s appointment as deputy chairman for one year. Seif has nearly three decades of experience in insurance, sustainable finance and institutional development. His roles have included executive director of the Financial Services Institute, the Egyptian Institute of Directors and the Regional Center for Sustainable Finance, as well as oversight of the authority’s sustainable development department and participation in drafting measures implementing Egypt’s 2024 insurance law.
