The Bank of Greece reported that the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of EUR 2.392 billion in January-May 2026, compared with a surplus of EUR 1.327 billion in the same period of 2025, as ordinary budget revenue rose to EUR 27.830 billion from EUR 27.093 billion while ordinary budget expenditure increased to EUR 29.197 billion from EUR 24.983 billion.
