The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issued a public warning about an entity operating as Linkbex for suspected virtual asset-related fraudulent activities. The SFC stated that Linkbex made false claims of affiliation with seven SFC-licensed corporations and that investors reported their Linkbex accounts had been locked due to a purported “anti-money laundering investigation of the SFC”. At the SFC’s request, the Hong Kong Police Force took steps to block access to Linkbex’s website, and the platform and its website were added to the SFC’s Suspicious Virtual Asset Trading Platforms Alert List.
