At the opening of Brazil's ENEF 2026 financial education week, the Brazil Securities Commission highlighted that it is expanding its financial education work while keeping its focus on investor training and evidence-based public policy. Speaking for the regulator, Financial Education and Inclusion Manager Nara CecĂlia de Melo pointed to a planned national financial literacy survey being developed with Banco Central do Brasil under an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development International Network on Financial Education initiative. The national campaign runs until 24 May under the theme of building a future with longevity and prosperity. CVM said its work spans both existing investors and broader financial inclusion and basic financial knowledge, while the week's programme covers issues including longevity planning, quality of life, prosperity, decision-making autonomy, inclusion and financial security. As part of the programme, CVM scheduled events on securitisation for small investors, investment choices, financial anxiety, and life choices and freedom on 19 to 21 May, with sessions held online and in person.
