The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held a financial fair at Osh State University in the city of Osh as part of Global Money Week 2026, bringing together public authorities and financial institutions to deliver financial literacy outreach to students, young people, school pupils, and local residents. Representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Programme Office in Bishkek, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, commercial banks, microfinance institutions and other organisations participated. The programme covered topics including the basics of financial literacy, the deposit protection system, financial security, and how to start entrepreneurial activity, alongside a practical mini-training session. Commercial banks and other financial organisations also explained core services such as opening bank accounts and obtaining payment cards and provided consultations, with interactive games, competitions and quizzes held and prizes awarded to active participants.
