Hong Kong’s Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary has appointed five new members and reappointed four incumbent members to the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform (SCCLR) for a two-year term running from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2028. The new members are Mr Keith Choy Chung-fai, Ms Chui Hoi-yee, Ms Loretta Fong Wan-huen, Ms Janet Li Tze-yan and Ms Wong Hau-yan, while Mr Jack Chan Hoi, Ms Sabrina Ho Shuk-ying, Ms Wendy Kam Mei-ha and Mr Ernest Lee Chun-ho have been reappointed. The release also thanked outgoing members Mr Paul Chow Koon-ying, Ms Julianne Pearl Doe, Mr Jason Karas and Ms Tiffany Wong Wing-sze, and set out the full committee membership from 1 February 2026, with Mr Johnny Mok Shiu-luen, SC as chairman and ex-officio members including senior representatives from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Securities and Futures Commission, the Companies Registry, the Official Receiver, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and the Department of Justice. The SCCLR, established in 1984, advises the Financial Secretary on amendments to the Companies Ordinance, the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance and, where necessary, the Securities and Futures Ordinance in relation to corporate governance and shareholders’ protection.
