The National Bank of Georgia named Amiran Khimshiashvili, a civics teacher at a public school in Dabadzveli village, as the first winner of the annual National Financial Education Award. He received a GEL 5,000 prize from Basisbank for his work promoting financial education among students and the wider school community. Five teachers reached the final stage after conducting lessons and projects, developing teaching resources and using innovative approaches during the 2025-2026 academic year. The jury assessed alignment with financial education objectives, creativity, student participation and results. The next competition, covering activities during the 2026-2027 academic year, will be announced shortly.
