The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kyivstar Group at the Ukraine Recovery Conference to support the development of Ukraine's capital market, widen investment opportunities for citizens, strengthen financial inclusion and advance the market's integration into international financial infrastructure. In practical terms, the memorandum creates a framework for joint work between the regulator and business rather than introducing immediate new market access measures. A central area of interest under the memorandum is the development of market mechanisms that would allow Ukrainian investors to access shares of Ukrainian companies listed on international stock exchanges. The release states that any such initiatives would proceed only after the necessary legal, regulatory and organizational procedures are completed in line with Ukrainian law. The parties plan to work jointly on the regulatory, supervisory and organizational preconditions needed to develop those mechanisms and support future projects in this area.
