The Bank of Italy and Consob have signed a new memorandum of understanding to reinforce collaboration between the Arbitro Bancario Finanziario (ABF) and the Arbitro per le Controversie Finanziarie (ACF), with the stated aim of achieving a higher and more effective level of customer protection. The protocol promotes information-sharing between the two alternative dispute resolution (ADR) systems on matters of common interest and sets out coordination mechanisms intended to help customers identify which arbitral body is competent to handle their complaint.
