The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta announced three promotions in its Legal Department effective 1 February, naming Dwight Blackwood as senior vice president and managing counsel, Alan Faircloth as vice president and counsel-practice leader, and Rebecca Wasserman as vice president, ethics officer, and counsel-practice leader. Blackwood will oversee Legal’s administrative functions and lead legal matters covering Supervision and Regulation (S&R), employment, procurement, facilities, and discount window operations. Faircloth will serve as the key dedicated legal counsel for S&R and will continue work supporting the Atlanta Fed’s Risk Advisory Council, the privacy officer, and legal training for the Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy. Wasserman will lead the Bank’s Code of Conduct and ethics compliance, while retaining her privacy officer responsibilities and continuing to oversee litigation and intellectual property matters, serve as the legal point of contact for Credit and Risk, and provide training for the Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy.
