Kuwait Capital Markets Authority chaired the eleventh meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the chairmen of the boards of directors of capital market regulators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), covering regional coordination on supervisory and market-development initiatives. The committee adopted the minutes of previous meetings, including initiatives aimed at strengthening control over securities activities and increasing electronic knowledge linkage between GCC regulators. Members were briefed on the latest developments in implementing the Inter-Registration Regulation, reviewed a Statistical Center report on GCC financial market developments for the first half of 2025, and heard a presentation by the Saudi Capital Market Authority on the MALAM programme, awareness campaign results and updates on the Gulf Smart Investor Award. The next committee meeting was scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain next year.
