The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission announced the completion of the fifth cycle of its school financial literacy lectures, with 18 sessions delivered between March and May 2026 across all districts of Cyprus. The latest cycle brought the initiative’s cumulative reach to 3,450 students across primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education, with CySEC reporting stronger participation and rising interest from both schools and students. Delivered within the framework of Global Money Week 2026, the lectures are tailored by age group and use interactive discussion and real-life examples to cover personal finance and risks such as online scams, financial fraud and misleading investment promotions. CySEC said the 2026 programme placed particular emphasis on attaining and preserving personal financial independence, alongside a new Investor Guide on personal financial independence in the digital world, and forms part of its support for Cyprus’s National Strategy for Financial Literacy and Financial Education.
