Dominican Republic's Superintendency of the Securities Market (SIMV) announced the launch of Ventanilla Exprés, a digital platform intended to centralise and simplify applications for authorisation and registration of public offerings in the Securities Market Registry. The service provides securities issuers, fund management companies, trust companies and securitisation companies with a single digital channel to submit and track filings, with the aim of improving review and response times. It incorporates information-sharing and coordinated technical assessment by SIMV, the Superintendency of Banks (SB) and the Superintendency of Pensions (SIPEN), so that requests can be assessed simultaneously by the three bodies and duplicative steps removed, including for issuers that are financial intermediation entities and other supervised entities. Ventanilla Exprés is positioned as part of the government’s META RD 2036 initiative, through which the Financial Committee is using the tool to speed up authorisation processes for public offering issuances.
