The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has granted a Certificate of Registration to Prudential HCL Health Insurance Limited to carry on health insurance business in India. The approval makes Prudential HCL Health Insurance the country’s eighth standalone health insurer. The registration was granted at the authority’s 136th meeting held on 29 June 2026. Prudential HCL Health Insurance Limited is a joint venture between the Prudential Group of the United Kingdom and the HCL Group of India. The approval is the third registration granted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India in calendar year 2026.
