The National Bank of Georgia reported that First Vice Governor Ekaterine Mikabadze participated in Astana Finance Days 2025 in Astana, where she emphasised regional cooperation and the need to align regulatory and supervisory practices to support cross-border financial services. Mikabadze pointed to the National Bank of Georgia’s work on regional financial integration across payment systems, financial technologies, capital market development and innovative financial services, and described the Georgian market as operating in line with internationally recognised principles including fairness, transparency and enforcement of legislation. She argued that a shared approach to financial sector regulation, prudential supervision and investor rights protection would facilitate cross-border provision of financial services.
