The Hong Kong Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that Financial Secretary Paul Chan will visit Beijing for meetings with the Ministry of Finance, other central ministries and commissions, and financial regulatory authorities. He will return to Hong Kong on the afternoon of Sept. 22. Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui, Hong Kong Monetary Authority Chief Executive Eddie Yue and Securities and Futures Commission Chief Executive Officer Julia Leung will join all or part of the visit. Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will act as financial secretary during Chan’s absence, while Under Secretary Joseph Chan will act as secretary for financial services and the treasury during Hui’s absence.
