Bank of Albania holds briefing meeting with no decisions as Supervisory Council awaits required number of members

The Bank of Albania published a press release on an informative meeting led by Governor Gent Sejko, in his capacity as Chair of the Supervisory Council, with Second Deputy Governor Natasha Ahmetaj and Supervisory Council member Anastas Angjeli, focused on the Bank’s day-to-day functioning and operational activities. No decisions were taken, and items and decisions scheduled for February Supervisory Council meetings will be addressed later once the Council has the required number of members to validly convene and take decisions. Discussions covered recent economic and monetary developments, the administration and activities of the Bank of Albania, implementation of monetary policy, the situation of the banking and financial system, and developments in the money and foreign exchange markets.
