The Bank of England has re-appointed Jackie Bennett OBE as Chair of the Residential Property Forum, an industry-led group it convenes to monitor the UK residential property sector and provide housing and mortgage market insight to support the work of the Financial Policy Committee. Her second term takes effect immediately and runs for three years, extending through to April 2028. The forum’s vice-chair, Peter Pereira-Gray, has also been re-appointed for a second three-year term. The chair reappointment followed consideration by Nathanaël Benjamin, Executive Director for Financial Stability Strategy and Risk. Established in 2010, the Residential Property Forum meets quarterly, has no standing membership, and invites participants based on the discussion topic, including representatives from banks, building societies, debt advice charities, house builders, landlords, intermediaries, housing market experts, estate agents and other financial institutions.
