The Central Bank of Russia reported that broad money (M2X) increased by 1.2% in May, mainly due to inflows into organisations’ ruble accounts and deposits, lifting annual M2X growth to 13.1% from 12.5% in April, while annual credit to the economy growth rose to 10.0% from 9.3%, with lending remaining the main source of money supply growth and budget operations continuing to make a positive contribution.
