Vice Governors Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze represented the National Bank of Georgia at a joint European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and J.P. Morgan conference held in Washington, D.C. in the context of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Spring Meetings. The conference, titled “Market Index Reform and Derivative Financial Instruments: A Milestone in the Development of Financial Markets,” convened financial sector experts to discuss milestones in financial market development across advanced and emerging economies, including how new market indices are integrated into the broader financial system. The Spring Meetings bring together IMF and World Bank governors and representatives from financial sectors globally to discuss topics including the world economic outlook, poverty reduction, economic development, financial stability, cybersecurity, and financial technologies.
