Angola’s Capital Markets Commission (CMC) has launched a joint series of radio programmes with INADEC to raise awareness of investor rights and promote financial education, starting with a broadcast on Rádio Platina focused on what the capital market is and why it matters. In the first programme, CMC staff Samuel Yengue and António Van-Dúnem from the Department of Studies, Strategy, Development and Communication outlined how the capital market works and its role in economic development, highlighting transparency, informed participation and consumer protection. The initiative is being delivered under a cooperation protocol between CMC and INADEC signed on 25 August 2015. The Rádio Platina broadcast was the first of eight joint awareness actions planned under the campaign.
