The National Bank of Georgia, through its Finedu educational platform and with participation from the financial sector and schools, ran a nationwide World Savings Day information campaign focused on building saving and financial literacy among students. The 2025 observance was linked to the 30th anniversary of the Georgian lari and was anchored by the “Invite Finedu to Your Classroom” initiative, which started on October 2 and continued through October. National Bank and commercial bank employees delivered game-based open lessons to students in grades V–XII across the country, reaching more than 5,700 students. The school visits also included the National Bank’s First Vice Governor Ekaterine Mikabadze and Board member Teimuraz Khomeriki; a pilot programme saw nine children of National Bank employees act as “Finedu Ambassadors” delivering peer-to-peer lessons; and the outreach included 21 regional schools that had recently won the National Bank’s “Finedu Corner in the School Library” competition. Starting October 31, schools will be able to continue conducting open lessons throughout November in response to teacher demand.
