Moldova's Ministry of Finance announced the appointment of Elena Grumeza as a new State Secretary, adding her to the institution’s leadership team and assigning her responsibility for coordinating the ministry’s digital transformation. The appointment was approved at a Government meeting on 14 January 2026, with Grumeza taking up her duties from 15 January 2026. The ministry linked the role to efforts to modernise operations and improve institutional efficiency, with Grumeza highlighting process digitalisation as a tool to simplify activity, increase transparency and support more efficient functioning.
