The Central Bank of Mexico has opened a public consultation on draft provisions that would establish “Rules for the supply of information to the Bank of Mexico”, aiming to strengthen information management through a standardized regulatory framework. The draft incorporates elements intended to safeguard information security and cybersecurity, and is framed as supporting the sound development of the financial system, the proper functioning of payment systems, and protection of the public’s interests. The draft provisions and consultation plan are available via the central bank’s online consultation portal, which is also the only channel for submitting comments, with submissions accepted until 18:00 on 11 February 2026.
