The Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) has invited electronic money institutions and payment service providers to share their experience of the EU’s current Central Contact Point (CCP) framework. The survey will inform its preparation of a regulatory technical standard under Article 41(2) of the Anti-Money Laundering Directive. AMLA is seeking evidence on how CCP arrangements have been implemented, their effectiveness and any operational challenges. Crypto-asset service providers are excluded because the previous framework did not apply to them. A parallel survey is gathering national competent authorities’ supervisory perspectives. The industry survey closes on Sept. 15, 2026. AMLA will publish a report setting out its main findings after completing the exercise.
