The Single Resolution Board (SRB) launched a public consultation on updated operational guidance for banks on separability and transferability in resolution, aligning it with its guidance on resolvability self-assessment and its updated approach to crisis readiness and resolution testing. The revised package updates the operational guidance on separability, adds guidance on transferability through an operational framework for developing transfer playbooks, and includes an annex on testing separability and transfer strategies. The SRB stated that the update does not introduce new deliverables and is intended to reduce administrative burden by making existing deliverables more effective and promoting a more efficient use of resources. Comments on all proposals, including the SRB’s specific questions, are requested by 22 October 2025. The SRB plans to meet the banking industry and other stakeholders in September to address questions before the consultation closes.
