The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced that its Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee will hold a virtual public meeting on May 28, 2025. The meeting will focus on subcommittee work on the role of metals markets in transitional energy and on physical energy infrastructure. The committee will discuss a report written and approved by the Role of Metals Markets in Transitional Energy Subcommittee, followed by a committee vote on whether to advance the report to the Commission. The agenda also includes a presentation and discussion of the Physical Energy Infrastructure Subcommittee report, with the meeting agenda to be published separately. Public access will be available via webcast and listen-only conference line, and written statements related to the meeting may be submitted through June 4, 2025.
