Securities Commission Malaysia has announced the six companies selected for the first pilot cohort of the Malaysian ASEAN Business Entity (MyABE) initiative, following the Prime Minister’s remarks at the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum International Conference. The initiative, announced in the MADANI Budget 2026, introduces a MyABE status to recognise Malaysian companies expanding across ASEAN. The MyABE status has two categories: MyABE-PLC for public listed companies with established regional operations, and MyABE-MTC for mid-tier companies with strong potential for further growth across ASEAN. The MyABE-PLC cohort comprises CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, IHH Healthcare Berhad and Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad, while the MyABE-MTC cohort comprises Aonic Sdn Bhd, MECIP Global Engineers Sdn Bhd and NSW Automation Sdn Bhd. The Commission indicated the pilot will be used to fine-tune the support needed for more companies to expand across ASEAN, including measures to ease skilled talent movement.
