Panama’s Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV) has extended the period for stakeholders to submit comments and recommendations as part of the first-stage consultation on a comprehensive review of the consolidated text of the Securities Market Law. The extension applies to input from securities-sector organisations, industry associations, lawyers, accountants and other market participants and relates to the broader project to modify and modernise the regulatory framework. Comments will now be accepted until 15 September 2025 via the previously established submission link.
