The Central Bank of Armenia has published a data template on international reserves and foreign currency liquidity developed under the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) to help assess Armenia’s foreign exchange position and liquidity. The template complements reserve asset data by disclosing the authorities’ foreign currency claims on and obligations to both residents and nonresidents, and by covering expected foreign exchange inflows and outflows over a forward one-year period. It is based on on- and off-balance-sheet activities of the Central Bank and includes government external drains. The template is structured into four sections presented as separate tables: authorities’ foreign currency resources; predetermined short-term drains (outflows and inflows); contingent short-term drains; and memo items requiring supplementary information.
