The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) has published a new data layout for the Operations Registration System (SRO) covering non-life insurance and personal insurance structured under the simple repair financial regime, as provided for in SUSEP Circular No. 710/2024. The update starts the implementation period for insurers ahead of mandatory registration under the new layout from 2 March 2026. Insurers that sell the in-scope products are expected to adapt their systems to ensure correct registration of operations in the SRO, and SUSEP also issued a circular letter to insurers drawing attention to the publication. Updated technical information has been made available by all registrars through their internet portals, and the layout and portal links can be accessed via the SRO page on SUSEP’s website.
